Ok I would like to purchase this as a T.V. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6889234001 it is labeled a t.v. but it doesnt come wiht a t.v. tuner(not exactly sure what that means lol). So lets say if I had no computer... how would I use it as a t.v.? because I want to watch cable t.v. on it and play xbox360 and ps3 on.

You would need a cable box to watch regular cable tv on it, but for connecting a 360 or PS3 you should be fine.

EDIT:BIG BIG BIG TYPO!!

this has already been said, but maybe with different wording you'll understand a little better: even though it's labeled as a TV, it's really just a glorified monitor. it doesn't have it's own tuner built in so if you only have a cable coming out of the wall and want to plug it straight into the "tv" it will NOT work. you will HAVE to have a cable box (or satellite, pc, etc.) to be able to view the channels.

simple diagram for the setup:
wall----> cable----> box----> cable/cables----> 37" tv

*on a side note, i thought they weren't allowed to label anything as a "TV" anymore if it didn't have a built-in tuner??

that could be...i could have sworn i read something when they were mandating about the high-def signal capabilities on tuner cards that "TV's" also had to have the capability too - i could have misread it i guess, but i can't remember where i read it either :?
