I brought Windows Vista 32bit OEM last week got round to installing it thursday night. I done everything you should, installed all the latest updates, drivers etc...Then i installed the latest catalyst driver for my 1900xtx board. This is when i got the infamous crashing problems. It was crashing just after windows loaded up. so i un-installed the catalyst driver. What happens? it continues to crash so i looked at the event viewier and it looked as if the there was a problems with my creative Audigy 2 zx, the driver was causing a confilct or something, problem:
"IRQARB: ACPI BIOS does not contain an IRQ for the device in PCI slot 2, function 0" <<< So i tried the sound card in every PCI slot, still got same errors/crashes.
So i have took my card out just to see if windows would stop crashing. But its still happening, obviously with no ACPI errors as i have no cards installed in any pci slots. Apart from my 1900xtx card in pcie slot. Anyways below i will list the errors messages from event viewer below, i don't understand half of these codes maybe on you peeps can help, please:

last event msg when my computer crashes:
The previous system shutdown at 11:11:06 on 02/06/2007 was unexpected.

I think it's still happening cause vista is still trying to load the audio driver. try loading into safe mode and removing the driver.

I agree. Uninstall the sound driver and remove the ATI Catalyst and try just installing the stand alone driver for the video card.

Once Vista stops crashing, install the sound card and go to Device Manager and install just the driver for the card. See if that helps.

If it's neither of these... then I don't know... maybe RAM issue? :?
