64 bit or 32 bit edition

I have just bought an entire new system, mostly high end and is running E6600 and 8800gtx.


Just wondering if I should use the normal 32bit edition of XP, or the 64bit. whats the difference, and is it a good idea for me to use 64bit?

32bit, 64bit does not have enough dirver support and app support for you to enjoy it

If you were going with Vista, I might recommend 64-bit... but for XP, stick with 32-bit.

I used XP 64bit since july 2005.. driver support was initially bad but now its fine, unless you have a lexmark printer.

I found loading times improved, as well as a huge improvement in page file performance. Also 64bit FarCry is amazing.

However if you want a hassle free life.. go with 32bit.

just play games, watch movies, convert movies to dvd and use office apps.. never really needed to do anything else.

From previous posts, people have said they see some improvements as far as performance goes BUT, don't expect the difference to be night and day.
