Active Desktop and Regaining functionality

i want to use:http://blog.pixelbreaker.com/upload/polarc...polarclock.html
as my Active Deskop, and i want to use it maximised.

However doing this i lose desktop right click funtionality and click and drag selection boxes etc.
instead i get the right click flash menu (understandable since its a flash item)

is there any way i can get full destop functionality whilst having this page as my MAXIMISED active desktop (or just having it so i can have this particular flash item maximised on my desktop)?

Also when i have no icons on the desktop the website i have set as my active desktop dissapears completely, is there any way to stop this happening?
