Hi,

I have a Wireless USB Adapter (802.11G) which I am using to network one of four machines in my office.

One machine in particular seems to lose connection to the net. If I go into "Network Connections" from the Control Panel
the adapters shows as disconnected. The problem is resolved usually by disabling and then enabling the adapter or
by unseating and then re-seating the adapter from its physical base unit.

Is it possible that the USB port is going into some kind of power saving mode, if so can I switch this off to avoid
this annoyance?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Rob.

Go into Device manager, properties on the device and uncheck the box that says to allow the device to be turned off to save energy.. something like that.

By default it will allow it to shut turn off if not being used all the time.
