Alright so I just got a laptop and it has Vista Home on it, but I want to have XP on it.
What steps should I take to do this? Like do I have to disable certain things and will there be problems with drivers from switching from Vista to XP?

Any restore discs that you made / came with the laptop will be useless... that is about the only thing you'll have to worry about. As long as you can find drivers for all the hardware (which shouldn't be a problem), you're all set... just make sure you download them and burn them off to a CD before formatting the drive.
