I'm wondering if there's any reason I shouldn't go with the BFG WC 8800 GTS 640 over the BFG WC 8800 GTX. I'm thinking the extra $200 just isn't worth it when the clock speeds are so close.

Also, looking at the VGA charts, the GTS 320Mb and 640Mb editions look to be almost identical in performance, but I'm assuming the higher clock speeds on this GTS would make up for that. If not I'd probably like eVGA's OC GTS 320, and forgo the watercooling.

If you want to watercool your card, do it yourself. BFG charges about $200-300 extra to put the block on the card for you..

Exactly. Its about as much of a scam as the 8800 Ultra.

You should buy the 8800 GTX (530$), 8800 GTS 320 (270$) or the 8600 GT (150$).

I guess what I was seeing was a $250 price increase, with $140 of that being the block, and the rest being the memory upgrade, single pci faceplate, professional leak testing and installation of the block, and well as a factory guarantee on the block.

On the other hand, the stock cooler should keep it cool enough since I'm not planning to oc it, right? I would then ask if it would better to get one GTX (same price to +$50), SLI two GTS 320's (+$50), or just keep the savings and stick with one GTS 320 (-$250).

I'm thinking about a dual monitor setup with native resolutions of 1680x1050.
