My mom has an EMachine computer that is about eight or nine years old. Operating system is Windows 98. Her printer broke and she wants a new one. Cannot find any in stores. Can anyone help to find an inkjet to purchase? There is one USB port...

Your Mom is SOL. Printers don't support Windows 98 any longer. Look for a used printer.

... or a new computer. You'll have a hard time finding anything that will support Windows 98... printers are just the tip of the iceberg. The best you can hope for is what Grumpy suggested; something used. You'll never find anything new that supports Windows 98.
