Will an AMD X2 4400+(Brisbane) bottleneck a Geforce 8800GTS(640mb)?

basically no.

what games are we talking about though, some games do need more CPU than GPU and some need more GPU than CPU.

I am into gaming and less into opening multiple applications. Is there a need for me to upgrade to C2D e6320? Games maybe like FEAR or other FPS.

my 4400 does fine IMO, no need to upgrade.

rob just STFU, you have been owned thoroughly in this bottlenecking topic before.

to the OP, do not listen to this guy, he has no clue what he is speaking about and goes through different alias's faster than his mother goes through men

seriously, he used to be bearable but now has turned into a twisted hate filled person who trolls the forums trying to start flame wars.

Hrm listen to the guy with 20 posts ... or the guy with 5000.....hrmmm

lol

Yah a 4400x2 will be fine your talking maybe 2-3% most

nothign you will notice

actually be wary of this guy, he used to be called robx2 and had close to 2000 or more posts. he has, in the last couple of months went through about 5-10 different names.

this is the thread where it all started. it may have been edited by the mods but as far as i know it contains all original posts, as you can see it starts to get very silly and only gets worse.

Owh okay thanks.

thats a pretty bad selective memory you have there, come on, what happened to you. when you had your AMD and x1900 system you were so much nicer and more balanced.

nope, i know you were more rounded, less likely to go to the extremes you go to now. i have tried my best to be civil to you despite your posts deserving the opposite. you used to be able to accept other opininos and have a good debate on things. you also tried to help others make the right choice. now you are just so spiteful i don't know what to do with you.

if you just relax and try to rejoin this community it would be better. you can still do it you know, we are not ostracising you, you are doing it yourself, just give and take a bit and things can be better. you cannot enjoy trolling these forums can you. would you not rather come here to a friendly atmosphere.

why i am even bothering i do not know.

then there is something seriously wrong with his system. my 2.2ghx 4400 doens' thave those low FPS in the towns. maybe in the forests it my drop to 28 or so but usually slightly above.

your experience obviously is different than mine. you did clean the drivers properly didn't you, oh you 1337 person you

Reply to strangestranger

your point being? a 3.1 ghz opty is substantially faster than my 2.2hgz x2(probably a toledo in both though)

by your logic, my cpu should be a major bottleneck preventing me from getting more than 10-15 in the cities.

therefore, i have to say that his system is screwed.

Reply to strangestranger

lol, you cannot be serious. a gfx card outputs. a CPU will put out the same amount of FPS using the same data regardless of which gfx card is used.

Rob, you are taking this fanboyism to new lengths, lets be reasonable and use facts here. i know you don't have a clue what a bnottleneck is but i thought you had an inkling of how a comp works.

come on, how about we start on your rehab.

Reply to strangestranger

ffs, you had better not be yanking my chain or i'm going to rape your little ass i swear to god.

you know fine well, that a cpu outputs as much as it can and that a gpu will render as much of those frames as it can until one of them maxes out.(note that just because one maxes out before th eother it is not a bottleneck, it is impossible to get a balanced system)

I have a 4400X2 running in my desktop, Which is the older 939 socket model. I don't own a 8800GTS, but I am planning an upgrade in the future when prices drop. The AMD 4400X2 is not cutting edge anymore, but it still has plenty of processing power for Games and general computer usage.
