Can't find 32 bits

Hi recently we reinstalled all the software on a friends windows 98, but now, we only have 16 bits of color and can't play any games on it. When we go to the control panel and go into color settings, it only shows two options, 2 bits and 16 bits. Before we reinstalled there was definitely 32 bits...what happened ?...how do I get the 32 bits back, please help...several people looked at it but none can figure it out

You need to install the correct driver for the video card.

And putting drivers for other hardware would be wise as well. Usually, the video card isn't the only forgotten one.

Chipset... Audio (very important, as it disturbs W98 a lot)... Usb... Lan... Well, everything.
