highend programs and linux

I have had several people tell me I should start running linux.
I am going to start playing with it.

However, here is my deal.
I am a graphic artist and a web student. I live in CS3 not just photoshop.
I do not want a replacement app. I deal with customer files and i have to be able to work on there stuff. I dont use a computer for games. I use it for work and school.

If Linux wont run CS3 then there isnt really an need for me to learn to use it, is there?

Does anyone know a realistic way to run adobe software on a Linux machine.
It already is cross platform mac and pc for many of its apps.

You're doing graphics.. who cares what OS you're making those graphics on. Linux may run better.. but you're also more likely to get a mild headache trying to make sure your programs work properly.

If what you're doing right now works, stick with it. If you have problems doing graphics in Windows, then maybe you should try looking at Linux.
