I was bored one day and decided I would throw together a build using a C2D 6400 processor. Priced the 6400 at Newegg for $189. Nice savings over one I used a few months earlier($221). I was about to pull the trigger when it hit me that the "big" Intel price cuts were just ahead so I should wait. What is the price of that C2D 6400 today? $188.00!
I guess the price cuts were only at the upper end.
