Hey ok I got my new motherboard now it's time to buy a CPU, right now I can get the E4400 or I can get the E6320 but I'll have to wait until my next paycheck (just short of the price tag).
But my question is , 1: is the 800 FSB much slower then the 1066MHz? and 2: The 2mb vs 4mb L2 Cache, is there a big change in speed?
The E4400 is faster then the 6320 and I don't want to over clock. So which should I buy? I'm a big gamer and will use this PC mostly for that reason.
I'm in a similar spot as you. Personally, I am going with the E6320 because it performs better in games and I don't do encoding so that doesn't matter to me.
Yes, it will be a huge jump if you play games and other CPU intensive apps. If you don't have the money, go for the 4400. It performs slightly behind the 6320, but not so much you would really notice.

Thanks man, I guess I'll do that and now I have a little money for food now too lol!

Thanks for any help
The slower FSB and smaller L2 cache on the E4xxx amounts to about a 5% difference clock for clock compared to an E6320. In gaming the E6320 is a bit faster, but gaming depends more on the GPU anyway.
