Minesweeper, solitaire, freecell... not sure about any others as it has been a very long time since I've sat down with 95 or 98.

but there were some games like (jezzball, maxwell maniac and others) these are the ones i used to like

i really appreciate your response, however the games were more like - jezzball, maxwell maniac and two others. i don't know if they were preloaded

will try to describe it as best as i can remember
there is a four sided box with some mazes inside. then there is a a little thing running to pick up some things in the passageways and another thing chasing it. sometimes to escape it would unlock a square looking gate that turns and hide inside that box until the thing passes. points would be gained and lives would be lost and one would move onto another level if successful. i had mastered up to level 14

never heard of those games coming with windows 95. maybe they were included with the windows 96 plus addon but not sure

It was the Microsoft Best of Entertainment Pack. I still have a copy of the floppy.

there is a square box with more of black background. it consist of different type mazes at each level. at all times a little thing is running around and being chased by a different type to be destroyed. it is made in such a way that you can hide and allow the chaser to pass. sometimes you have to go all the way around a box to collect the item and the thing would be chasing you so you have to hide and allow it to pass then come out and collect the thing to get prize. success would give you more lives. i remember it was an orange-colored thing. there were up to 17 levels or more

download it from bit torrent or something like that perhaps? heck the software is so old you may be able to google it and find a place to download it from

also i like to mention i had an old copy of windows 95 so i installed it in vmware just to look.

anyway i checked the games and the games that were already mentioned are the only ones that are included with windows 95

and it is the same with windows 98 with maybe the addition of a pinball game but that about it for all the games that were included with windows 9x

Well Jezball came with the Microsoft Entertainment Pack and so did Maxwell Maniac. So clearly you either remember wrong or the game you're looking for is also part of the Microsoft Entertainment Pack.

I think it was called Herman or something. If I'm thinking of the same game you are lol
