Orange Tint Playback on Everything

AVI, MPG, WMV, its all the same ....

Whenever I try to play one of these movies everything has an orange tint to it.
Tried playing it in VLC media player, Windows media Player, Divx Media player....
The only thing that worked was playing it in media player classic ...
Ive deleted every video codec (or at least think I have)
under "ctrl pnl->sounds audio devices-> hardware->video codecs->
Properties"
I am at a loss, and am waving my white flag....
Is there a guru out there to save me???

well you need your codecs why did you delete them?

try installing klite codec pack and see if that helps

well if the file played corrrectly in one player that means that its not your drivers or graphic card, its your codecs perhaps you need to change an option there.

Well ...
I rebooted into safe mode and everything plays fine ...????....
So I rebooted into normal mode and once again only the
windows media player classic from klite will play files correctly?

What am I missing ..
and how do I change my codecs edklite?

Now it dosnt matter what player I use everything is orange ...
Only certain files dont show up orange and most of the web encoded movie streams from sites like www.break.com are fine.

uninstall all your codecs and players and install only klite codec and lets see what you get then.

what format are these files in?

any format seems to mess up particulary,

avi, mpg, wmv

How do I uninstall all my codecs again ...

same thing I did last time?

uninstall Nero, and then any codec pack you see in your add remove programs window
