More Information

I hope this is the right place for my post as I essentially didn't setup the bridge correctly so it is the main problem in the Ethernet LAN
I bridged paradyne 6218-AI so I can use the MAC filter feature in it as instructions say , and added the undesired MAC addresses to the list but they still can get in , the bridged router is on 192.168.1.1 and the main router speedtouch 510 is on 192.168.1.254 both inter-connected via cross over cable
cat5 and the DSL is connected to the bridged router, right?
and the mostly dead wrong part is i connected my PCs directly to the bridged router this is wrong right???
that was question 1
Question 2) should I have given the routers diffrenet subnets altogether?
this means double NAT and I am extremely unfamiliar with so if it is needed please bear to mention details but not necessarily down to the exact basic level I know the basics
Question 3)should I have connected the routers via a LAN to WAN cable?
with a phone Jack on side and RJ45 on the other side? cuz I read something like the later two suggestions in another post here but couldn't apply them
without more details
I don't care about file sharing accessibility between PC's all I care about is the internet connection working like it is now mysteriously but with paradyne MAC filters on
thank you
