Win2k doesn't see my cd drive Tags: CD Drives IBM Windows Last response: August 13, 2007 11:14 AM in Windows 2000/NT Share threefeetunder August 8, 2007 1:50:41 PM I just did a reinstall of win2k on an IBM Thinpad. FOr some reason it is not seeing the cd drive. Can anyone help me with this issue. the cd drive does work because thats how i did the reinstall. If it's in the BIOS but not in Disk Management I'd start by installing the drivers and let them reinstall on a reboot. threefeetunder August 13, 2007 11:14:03 AM thanks G for your input. I did happen to figure it out. there was a code 31 in Device Manager. I had to delete two keys in the registry. Everythings fine now, again, thanks for the input... Can't find your answer ? Ask !
