Hello,

I am trying take data off my old Windows 95 OS and put on a disc so I can use the data on my Windows XP-- We tried to burn a disc however it kept popping out when the disc became 75% complete. Any suggestions on how to get the computer to burn the disc completely?

Try to burn it on the slowest speed. Have you tried a different brand of disc? Before you burn, check the box in the burning program for check data (or something similar) before writing. Dont write 'at once' as the data is not checked first.

The easiest thing to do would be to take the old hard drive and connect it to the new computer. You can buy a SATA/PATA to USB adapter to hook it up externally or you can simply install the drive into the computer. Much easier and more reliable way of copying the data than depending on an old computer.
