When you consider all of the enhancements done in the new audio stack od windows vista, Do they really matter?

I mean,will my MP3's really sound better?

Or is it just plain old marketing?

Of course they won't. The changes are just there to make it easier for software developers (and level the playing field for onboard solutions vs separate soundcards).

Well somehow (i really dont know why) but sound IS improved in Vista.

The integrated sound chip on the GA-965P-DS3 sound really better on vista, even with the mp3-s i can hear the difference!

I have the logitech x530 5.1 speakers and sound quality is improved, dunno how but it is
