Overlcloking CPU Help

I have a AMD FX 8120 and I set it to 3.3GHZ, I would like to go to around 4GHz but I use this computer for everything so is there any way I can make it go down on low usage and high when I'm playing games like BF3?

Yup, enable cool n quiet and C1E in bios, then go into control panel->windows power management-> advanced features and set the processor min and max states like 20% and 100%.

Simple as that.
