So I have a P3 550 (x2) running off some garbage Tyan motherboard running Windows NT SP6 and a Centura database.
While experiencing numerous write errors to the database we attempted to troubleshoot but the computer froze. When we attempted to reboot we got a NTDETECT Failed message.
To attempt the repair we rebooted with the NT Server CD and selected repair. We used the floppy disk to load Adaptec 39160 SCSI drivers but after that we got a "No hard drive" detected error.
If we hit Ctrl A we can see the hard drives and they are displayed during the SCSI scan on boot, but no matter what we do NT will not detect the hard drives...any ideas?
P.S. Downloaded new drivers to try and booted from floppy...same error.
Sounds like some really bad corruption... if you have another computer available to plug the hard drives into, it might be a good idea to do so and get the data off if possible. (Preferably a 2K or XP machine).

Still unable to repair/reload Windows NT due to setup not seeing the hard drives. When we use the Windows 2000 CD, we can see the hard drives with no problems.
Does anybody know of any tricks that could be used to get NT to recognize the HDs on the SCSI card?
