compared with 8800 ultra size
Very nice
Looks good.
:!: Holy $h!t ! you could beat someone to death with that!
i feel like a retard tho... on the first picture at fx57.net, i was like, "DAMN that looks a lot like an 8800..." but thats because it was pictured beside one.
i thought after that movie they stopped super sizes?
well still cool
No they havent. But have you seen the guy from the movie "super size me" now? Hes like 400 pounds.... couldn't stop eating.
MIS 2900XT?
This a pageant show from the future? A bra size?
I don't get it

LINK !!
when are they going to release normal sized cards? You know, ones you can use in, say, a normal sized PC?
lol, define normal?
how the hell in the world of near infinite customability that is PC's do you get normal. unless something is controlled by a standard like ram slots and the like, there is no such thing as normal.
i could not imagine having anything smaller than my armour, indeed, i may try and get larger next time.
some nice pics
MIS? Do you mean MSI?
BTW This is my first post .When i saw that HONOr wrote MIS insted of MSI i couldnt resist and i've registered 2 correct him
Interesting, so it's definitely shorter than the ultra, which will be nice, but will power consumption be less regardless of that? I find that hard since the xt's core is clocked so much higher and it needs an 8pin connector, meaning a potential extra 100w

Good point...
I guess what I meant to say was... a card that will fit into any microATX computer.
or....
anything that isn't a mammoth.
I think that if I were to purchase that card right now, it probably would not fit into my case.
How does this sound then, spend $230 on a new lian li v2000b case just so you can get a new video card
You can fit this card easily into a cheaper ATX
I would just love it if they released a card to fit in a small case, so i can build a decent LAN machine...
it ain't as good case if you don't get a workout moving it around

How is microatx a normal size, its obviously a smaller size made from a normal sized atx...on a side note i bet this both would fit into any case in my house(about 6 or 7).

You'd be hard pressed to find any retail PC using full ATX.
But the standard isn't even my point. I have a full ATX case myself, and I'm pretty darn sure that wouldn't fit in it. My 9800pro is a snug fit as is.

Don't feel bad, my case isn't very big either. Judging by the pictures, the ATI card is the only one that would fit.
The 8800GTS is a normal length card, really the only large part about it is the two-slot cooler...and any enthusiast card now has the 2-slotter. Get used to it
If the op could find a retail full tower pc, that would be great, but those are far and few as you said. I personally would want a huge lian li v2000b full tower if I get the chance to buy another case, but for now I'm thinking about simply making my p180b taller instead, but that's a whole other thing there by itself
honestly, with the size of the coolers now I would prefer the "full length" that the OEMs are getting. Where you can slot the end of the card into a holder that keeps the strain off of the pcb itself.
anyone remember when full length cards were "normal"?

Still waiting for those MISS 29 8O XT pics....
Ooooooookkkkkkkk?
Man, girls and 1337 computers flat out are as common as someone going to a 5 star resturant and shout BALLS! 8O
Those 2 extra pins mean an extra 25W, not 100W.
I thought it was 50/pin, not 25, but you're probably right, since that would mean 150w for the 6pin, and 200w for the 8pin, meaning 350total, 700w would be outrageous
Hmmm, I really think it's 25 per pin? I'll look up the spec again. Well, regardless, it's only CAPABLE of drawing that much more power, it doesn't necessarily mean it's going to. Remember, ATI stated that the 8-pin is only needed for overclocking the card, so if it's not hooked up, it's doubtful that it'll pull more than an 8800GTX.
I can feel the Ga-nerd urges, no must not howl.
Pretty!!!! Shiny!!!!! 8O UUUUURRRRRAAAAAA!!!!

350w max sounds about right, if you haved that, you'd get below 200w, which seems kinda low for a power sucking gfx card like the 8800gtx or r600xt

lmfao u joined just to correct me
well my case is massive so i will have no issue with one of these if it beats an 8800
case- modded stacker 830 from peformance pc with side window so i can see the beast
That's a nice case there, I personally preffer the lian li v2000b for its size and the window not to mention it has tons of mod potential, but the 830 and the 8320 are stylish too
