I have the following situation :
domain network and built active directory.
PC with Windows Server 2003 as DC.
file server installed on same machine.
In the shared files "on file server" there are certain files I want to apply some roles on them :
users can list folder contents.
users can read and execute data.
users can not copy files or folders (the most important).
users can not move files.
Also : users can not read permission , change permission , delete files or folders (done with file permissions)
in other statements;there are files I want to prevent users from copy or move these files by but can only read them.
Can any body guide me through group policy to solve this?
Is it possible to be done file permission?
(or provide me with some link)
