I just brought my system into work today to get really fast internet and when
I tried to boot it just got to the windows load screen and then rebooted after a while. I got in through safe mode and the error report says this:
Source: Service Control Manager
Type: Error
Event ID: 7026
The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load:
Avg7Core
Avg7RsW
Avg7RsXP
Fips
intelppm
What can I do to make these drivers boot/reinstall them because I looked and couldn't find a place? Would a repair from window xp cd work? Do I have to uninstall AVG?
It just started happening now this morning. The thing is, I did a lot of work last night and I am pretty sure there wasn't a restore point after that. And I didn't do anything that would cause these drivers to go bad, just messing with music files mostly.
I got rid of AVG and that got rid of the AVG problems but I still have the fips and intelppm showing up. For a while it worked but then it happened again. Not sure what could be causing this.
I think I have found the problem... I repaired windows and got it work but when i tried to put Daemon Tools on it got messed up with the SCSI/Raid controller and when i tried to fix that my computer had the same problem as before. And now that i think of it that is what i was working on when my problem first started. I am going to repair again and not put DT on, or at least look for an older version when i know it worked.
