More Information

I've gone to the videohelp site to look for a free avi to dvd program. Does anyone use one without too much trouble?

Also, what do you need and what needs to be installed? I was hoping for a program that has everything built-in but if I have to install individual applications for it to work, I will. But, I hope to find something that doesn't contribute or invite sound/video sync problems (if possible). I have a version of Nero so I have something to burn with.

What I need is a program that can convert the avi file to mpg. Then I can burn, right?

Edit: I tried Avi2Dvd with no luck. Anyone try this program and if so, how do you convert the .avi? :-(

What is one of the better retail programs for this (if any)? I'm just curious. I prefer a free one but I'd seriously consider anything as long as it worked without too much manual (meaning me) tweaking/configuring.

I personally like using ConvertXtoDVD personally. Not free though.
