If you have the CD or can get one, you should be able to delete it using the CD. Any idea why it's not in Add/Remove. Can you find it under C Programs?

Have you used the search feature in Windows to locate it?

Yes, but it said deleting that will not remove the program, only the icon

When you did the search did you find any files for these programs, e.g., a Word or Excel exe files that would be used to launch the program? If so, did you try to launch any of these programs? The reason for these questions is that I'm wondering if somehow the program was at least partially uninstalled given you can not find it in Add/Remove. However, as I previously suggested did you try to uninstall the program from the CD?

I just re-read your original post and realized you only wanted to Delete Excel. Check Add/Remove and see if Microsoft Office is in there. If so, you should have the option to Uninstall or Change, click Change and one option should be to Uninstall Excel. Sorry I missed this before.

If this is not an option in Add/Remove and the Uninstall on the CD says the program isn't installed, I'd reinstall the Entire program and then uninstall it. Then reinstall any of the Office programs you want. It sounds like some how the program got corrupted and if so, this is the easiest, cleanest way to do it.
