How can I bypass OS checks for my wireless card driver?

Hello,
I have a dell truemobile 1300 802.11a/b wireless card and a Compaq Armada 1750 running Windows ME. I can't get the windows 98 driver and i have checked the links on this site, gone to dell.com and broadacom.com. I can't get a compatible driver, so I was wondering if you people could tell me how to bypass the OS check/ get the driver. :pt1cable:

  1. Which one do you have? The USB or PCMCIA?

Edit: Did you find this when you searched? Dell TrueMobile 1300 from CNET.

    PCMCIA
  3. Using a driver not written for the OS is not a matter of bypassing some check it does. They are written to interact with the OS in some manner, and different OS will have different files and ways of dealing with hardware.

Give this a shot, it might just work. It's the only win98 driver to support the chipset.
Sorry, I didn't notice how old this post was at the time.
