I just installed vista 32 bit on my new system. It has an abit ip35 pro motherboard and an evga 8800 gts superclocked. In both BF2142 and Call of Duty 2, after several minutes of playing, it will freeze and make that jarring repeating noise. I cannot alt tab or ctr alt dlt out of it and it must be manually reset. What could be the problem? Drivers?

disable UAC might be something to try (wasnt there a link or post on this site on tweeking or disabling certain functions in vista to up performance). Personnally, i just went back to xp as it was easier for me (lot less hardware and software conflicts).

Well we need more info, what nvidia drivers are you using? Complete system specs? (Including PSU)
