If I upgrade from XP to Vista does that mean I'll lose any files, have to reinstall everything or be completley fine or something along those lines?

Thanks

Solution
it is always better to do a clean install (with hdd format), when upgrading without format from xp to vista you'll still have the old xp registry keys and sometimes (depends on the app and if it is supported by vista) it might lead to problems with running old apps installed under xp. Make sure the apps that you use are supported by vista.
