windows media player 11

hi

i have a top notch pc with amd 4400 cpu

however when i use wmp11 it brings my pc to a standstill

50% if jus playin music and almost 100 if i navigate around it


other players dont use this much they use like 10percent or so

so why wmp11 such a hog and is there anything i can do to make it better

That shouldn't be. I know that whenever I had that issue it drove me insane. I could never really find the culprit. I always suspected spyware/viruses, because if I reloaded Windows that problem never happened again. I would recommend running HiJackThis and submitting your resulting log file to a parser site or have someone look at it for you.
