I just ran AVG antivirus and it found a virus it cannot remove/clean. The virus is called dropper.microjoin. AVG says it cannot remove it because it is embedded in an archive file or something. Does anyone know how I can deal with this short of formating my harddrive???
Thanks for the advice but the solution turned out to be easier than I first expected. The virus had been placed in my Recycle Bin and after emptying it.....the virus was GONE........
The thing I didnt realize about AVG is that when it finds a virus it sends it to the recycle bin. I was under the impression that AVG automatically wiped the virus once it was discovered.....
