Ok, I did two things, one of which may not be related.

1) Updated my ASUS motherboard through the Flash software thing that came with it. It told me to restart my computer. I didn't until I did #2.

2) I uninstalled my ATi 7.6 driver (because I had just downloaded the new ATi 7.7 driver). It told me to restart my computer and I did so.

Now I get to the log in screen, I log in. It starts loading things up for 5-10 seconds and then as soon as it says "New Hardware Found - VGA Controller" or whatever it exactly says - I get a blue screen of death and it restarts.

I think the solution is to restart in safe mode, but I can't be in Windows long enough to select that option through msconfig. Is there any other way to restart in safe mode without doing it through Windows being on already? Is there any other solution to my problem?

Thanks.

Generally you press F8 during boot and it brings you to a menu where you can select to boot into safe mode. This happens before windows loads
