I got an AM2 nForce570 Motherboard (the ASUS M2N-E)

I was planning to get a GeForce 8800 GTS, but after the "leaked" benchmarks of the AMD 2900XT....I changed my mind (until some official benchs appears)

I am wondering, if the card will work with my motherboard or not?

Did anyone got any nForce & old ATi Video Cards compatibility problems before?

Hope I don't have to upgrade for that......

It will work as long as you don't try to XFire the cards (if SLi is even an option on that mobo). Chipsets on mobos do not determine what card brand you have to buy. A NVidia card will work on an ATI/AMD mobo just the same. You may still want to buy the 8800GTS only because the ATi card will drop NV prices(you may be able to get something higher than the GTS for the same price).

zat is good news, no Motherboard/CPU upgrade for me soon :-)

Price wars...That is what it is all about, I just hope AMD pull it together this time...

If AMD drops, we will soon buy a GeForce 9600TC for $400, a Core Duo 7001 for $500 and an nForce 710 motherboard for $800

Then we wait for 3 years to get the GeForce 9601TC GTS for $500....and so on...

Yeh, but he dosent get the system..

9601 comes after 9600? More like 9600 and X600.

And whats with the TC? They havnt made TCs since the 6100s.

Not to mention the nForce 710.. nForce dosent come in low-end products.

 My main man Track, I was being sarcastic

Ofcource I went from 9600 to 9601 to show how slow they will be :)
Ofcource they don't make TC any more but they can do it if there is no competition.....

And so on.....
