I have a 200GB Seagate drive which was removed from my XP machine & replaced with bigger drives.

I use an old SONY machine with Win98SE dedicated to controlling a Canon camera It had no other programs or data on it. The hard drive has failed. The physical location is such that I can't use the XP machine for that purpose.

Is it likely that I can use the 200GB drive to install Win98SE on the SONY after partitioning & formatting it as FAT32?

Yes. You will be limited in the partition size as well as LBA support so you won't be able to utilize the full 200GB. If you don't care, then no biggy.

*it may be 32GB for 98, but not sure. 137GB is the max without LBA support.
