More Information

The motherboard comes with 2 intel SATA ports, and 2 promise SATA ports. Intel being on the ICH5R , Promise being on the FastTrack 378 I think. Promise is built into the motherboard, so I assume it might hog CPU resources if I have it enabled.

Should I use the Intel controller to releive stress caused by the extra onboard promise controller?

Or the promise controller, which might have better performance? Anyone have an idea on how the stabiliy compared to performance is with these two?
