Service Pack 1?

I don't know too much about the release of Service Pack 1, but I thought some might find it interesting that a Vista update I did today (KB929729) says "Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework, Version 1.1 Service Pack 1." I can't recall how the Service Packs were released in XP, and what preceded their release, but could this be a sign that SP1 is coming sooner rather than later for Vista? Pardon me if this update is irrelevant to the actual complete SP1 release.

This is completely and totally independent from a full OS SP release. This is related to the Microsoft .NET application, not Vista.
  2. Ok, cool, thanks. I don't know much about the process of Windows' updates, so I wasn't sure if their stamping that title on the .Net update meant anything towards a complete update. I guess we'll wait until early next year for the OS update, but Vista is running pretty good otherwise.
