Hi,

Can you please help. I am having one too many problems with IE7.

1) Have already defined a default start page but despite this, everytime I start IE, it starts with a page having URL "http://runonce.msn.com/runonce2.aspx". But NOTHING happens on this page

2) In Gmail when I try to switch from basic HTML mode to standard mode, I just get a page with URL
"http://mail.google.com/mail/". Here too nothing happens and looks like I am forced to live with using Gmail only in simple HTML mode :(

3) Nothing which appears to have a javascript window or a download activity is not working. I have tried many websites including the one from where I was trying to download the Intel's chipset utility, but no download happens...Have tried refresh, starting all over again etc. etc. but Nothing

4) Have tried to reset all IE settings to default but still no solution

Will appreciate your help.

Thanks.

Have you tried using a different browser?
You could download Firefox or Opera, and who knows maybe you will like them better than IE7

I recommend that you install the following extensions:
All In One Gestures, AdBlock, ieTab, autocopy and there are more but I'll let you browse through them maybe you find something you like

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/browse/type:1

enjoy

Don't worry use the first url the one that says:

http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

then just click on the big green button

Hi dunklegend.

I got the problem fixed after running Windows Script 5.7 for Windows XP. I am however thinking of giving FireFox a try but am afraid of running into any unknown/unforeseen side effects if I install FireFox ???? And what if I decide to uninstall it? Would it be simply Add/Remove or some complicated removal process??? If I remember, once you have installed Norton Utilities/Anti-Virus, you just can't get it out of your system... So should I ????? Is it realy better than IE 7?

regards,

I think that it's better.
It's easy to uninstall and there are no side effects that I know of.
You should try it, and if you have problems or questions let us know.

one thing you really should get after you get adblock is get the adblock filterset G. addon as well. It goes right with adblock, automatically downloading new filter sets every week.
