Nero 6 Express DVD playback problem

I'll just get straight to the point. I have a movie that I've been trying to burn to a DVD in the 16:9 aspect ratio but even though all the attributes of the video file say it's 16:9 (and even plays 16:9 on the computer), it always burns to the disc as a full screen 4:3 movie. I've tried a couple different things like: encoding the video to 16:9 using the SUPER program (even though it's supposedly already 16:9) and selecting 16:9 in Nero Express. The video always turns out full screen....? Does anyone have any idea on how to get this movie to burn with a 16:9 ratio?
