Local Disc disappeared from my computer

After installing a new program the computer freezes and after the restart the driver where i had all my movies and mp3 (160gb) disappeared.

The lost is 1 partition in 1 hard drive.

But i see it in BIos that it is working perfectly
and in a program that gets data back it shows it undamaged.

I used system restore with vista dvd but nothing.

The only time I've seen this is when I re-mapped a logical drive and somehow the local drive lost all logical drive letters. Does it appear in your Disk Management tools so you can remap a logical drive letter to it?
