More Information

So im havin trouble installing XP on my new hd. I dont have a floppy drive so i slipstreamed my mobo drivers into the xp install disk(along with sp2) using Nlite. The first part goes fine(blue screen part), the install app reconizes my hd and its proper size, loads setup files and restarts. This is where i have problems, when it tries to load the next install part(normal windows ui look) it does one of three things; one: says "disk read error", two:"failure loading somting or other", or says "Setup is inspecting your hardware configuration" like it says before the blue screen install part, then goes to black and does nothing. Thing is, i got xp to install and boot off it before by using one partition under 137gb. Now it wont even do that. I really dont know what the deal is, the install app reconizes my hd and its size, and my chipset drivers should be loaded with the install disk. This really sucks, if anyone has any idea what is goin on here please let me know.

Pentium D 3.2ghz
Abit IL9 pro mobo (Intel 945P/ICH7)
400gb WD Caviar SE16
SP2+Intel drivers slipstreamed into an OLD(2002) XP install disk

Thank you!
