Hi,

I have windows vista Business installed and it load fine but when I try and set up my second display my first display becomes unreadable.

I have my first display on DVI and my second on VGA and both are connected to a 7900gt (with current NVIDIA vista 32 bit display drivers)

by unreadable it: become green with lines across it .

any ideas. thank you

Does it look anything like this:

I read around a bit and it seems there are known problems with 7900 cards in particular on Vista, although the exact cause is unknown (some claim hardware defect, others point to drivers, some to both). The symptoms include screen corruption or blue/green lines, typically when switching display modes (Dualview, gaming, even PC start-up or coming out of standby). The most common solution I found was to slightly underclock the card (core & memory) as it seems related to display mode switching. There are several threads on Nvidia's forum about this.
