Unable to respond to 'Boot from cdrom' message
Aug 25, 2007, 2:48 PM
I am attempting to load a pc with Windows XP from a bootable cd.
The pc previously had Linux Ubunto on it.
Although I get the message 'Boot from cdrom' I cannot enter anything via my keyboard.
I know the cd is good because I managed to load XP from it onto another pc.
I also know the keyboard works because I am allowed to change bios settings etc.
Any help would be appreciated.

So even if you mash the keys on the keyboard while that message is displayed... it still boots from the HD?

That is a common problem when using a usb keyboard. Try looking for at legacy usb option in your bios
