I have had one or two problems with vista premium, including the odd time when it has decided not to work, without restarting vista. Currently the most annoying is I can no longer use my external dvd drive. The drive is connected by firewire and vista premium does not recognise that there is a firewire card in the system. The same card also has usb, which works. Has anybody managing to use firewire in vista. I have gigabye GA-P35C-DS3R motherboard.

Have you installed the latest BIOS from your MOBO's maker?
