Oh yeah by the way when that happens there is no power to the monitor or the mice or keyboard but all the fans run even the CPU fan runs but I got only one clue when I installed WOW on my pc I got massage saying I do not got insufficient CPU power so this is where I am left clue less with one is broken if some one could please help I would thank them :D

Sounds like the HS/F isn't mounted properly. When it's on it's side, the HS/F isn't trying to fall off...due to gravity. The CPU is likely shutting down in ~4 seconds, due to heating up rapidly. Try reseating the HS/F, and using some AS5. GL :)

Like Tanker said, an overheating CPU could cause these symptoms, but I assume you would have had symptoms to figure it out if this was the case?

Based on your description, it could also be that one of the pins on your cpu is not making a good connection with your motherboard. I have seen this happen a couple of times. Make sure there is no dust or residue in the cpu socket. If this is the problem, I think changing the motherboard is more likely to fix the problem than changing the cpu, although either one could be the problem. Or bending the right pin on the cpu might work.

There are a couple of other possible problems that could cause the symptoms of your computer switching off after a few seconds. For example, a bad power supply, an unconnected power cable, an improperly placed jumper on the motherboard, a BIOS problem. I've also seen these types of symptoms from things like a PCI card that is not pushed in straight, or a loose screw shorting out some component on the motherboard. If possible, it's best to unplug any cards or drives that you don't need to test if your computer will stay powered on, to eliminate those as a possible problem.

I'm guessing the insufficient CPU power warning is unique to the WOW installer. You could check to make sure that your correct CPU model is identified correctly in the BIOS and in Windows. But it could just be that this warning is just an issue with the WOW installer, like it is too old to correctly identify your CPU, or a power saving function is throttling down your clockspeed and confusing the installer.

Also I think if it were a CPU temperature problem the machine would have powered down completely instead of what you're seeing with all the fans still running.

Ok this is what i try so fare

changing the power supply did not work
pushing every thing in and nice and tight did not work
fans on the CPU tight and nice and did not work
No dust or residue on CPU
no bend Pins
Bois reads the CPU

One more thing the Mobo and CPU i have where replaced. i got my pc in November 2006 and about 2 months ago both burned up at the same time do not ask me how but they did. So i send them out and got new replacement form Asus and AMD. i can't find some one with the same CPU i got so i can test it if it is the MoBo or CPU.

thank you for the help :D

My best guess would be the motherboard, especially since this is an RMA board. It happens sometimes that a socket connection is not good, whether it is caused by calcification or some other miscellaneous problem. A person receives the board and experiences problems and RMAs it. ASUS tests the board but since the connection is intermittent (the same reason it works for you in some orientations) it happens to pass their QA, and they send the board out to you as an RMA replacement. Of course it is also possible that the problem is with the CPU, but it is much easier to do a good QA job on a CPU so this is less likely.

It could possibly be that something is shorting. Try removing everything from the case and setting it up on a bench.

i did that happens the same the pc just truns off so fare i know that someting is shorting but i need to know what send both back would mean no pc. MoBo takes 2 weeks form them to send me a new one and the CPU about 3 to 4 weeks i hoping its the MoBo easy to send back.
any one else got idea what it could be ?
