Does anyone know where I can find a modified version of Reaperbot as
described at the bottom of this page:

http://www.inside3d.com/qctut/

I have a Mac, so a lot of these compiling and editing programs are not
available to me, not to mention that most of this stuff is way over my head.

My friend and I play Q1 all the time with the Reaperbot mod, so we'd love to
get these problems corrected.

Thanks!
-Tim

I don't know, but after Reaperbot was all the rage (about 1997), the Omicron
Bot was the preferred one by many (including a large contingent of Mac Quake
players, who had regular Omicron "botblast" competitions on custom maps for
a couple of years, around 1998-1999). Steve Polge, who created the Reaper,
had long since gone to work for Epic on the Unreal AI. (Jean-Paul van
Waveren, who created the Omicron, also did the Gladiator for Quake II and
later went to id to do the Quake III AI, which he then wrote his Master of
Science thesis on.) More recently, I think Frogbot may be the most
up-to-date, but I've never tried it.

Thanks for the suggestion. I finally discovered that something called
QuakeBot was actually the modified Reaperbot I was looking for, so I have it
now.

I've heard of Omicron and Frogbot, but I haven't tried them yet. Maybe I
will now. Thanks again!
