Hello.

My firm gave ma an HP Compaq Nx7300 notebook. I realised that when I log in to Windows XP with the username and password given I have limited rights on the computer. So I wanted to login as Administrator and give my user admin rights so that I can do anything I want with my computer. I searched a little and found live cd and download it from here:

http://sourceforge.net/project/sho [...] _id=133599

Then I burned the iso on a cd and booted my laptop with it. Easily I got the Admin password. Then I logged in to windows as Admin. My problem is I can not see my user in "control panel/user account" to give it Admin rights. I think it is because they are in diffrent domains.

Here you can see what I mean by domain:

Well it's possible that your account is on the network, at not really on the physical computer. You could try using the admin password in your domain though.

Thank you very much. I'll try that.
