I know when i innstall Vista over xp Vista makes a new folder with most of the files from the older xp,
my question is would Vista save my files if my old disk dosent have an os innstaled?
(i´m guessing no,but i wana be wrong)
My os disk stoped working(a few years old IDE)
and i want to make my slave(sata) the primery but i dont whant to loose all my files.

Back up all of your files and do a clean install of Vista... don't bother with the upgrade.
