I need help with my Event veiwer warning logs. Everytime I turn on my computer, I see this Event ID warning:
Log Name: System
Source: Microsoft-Windows-WLAN-AutoConfig
Date: 9/20/2007 12:14:38 PM
Event ID: 4001
Task Category: None
Level: Warning
Keywords:
User: SYSTEM
Computer: ****
Description:
WLAN AutoConfig service has successfully stopped.
I'm connected to a wireless router, Linksys WRT54G 8.0.2 firmware. I was having the same warning with 8.0.0 firmware.
Does anyone experience this same problem? I've removed most of the warnings in my event viewer and I'm now down to 1 (which is this error).
It doesn't do anything bad in my system whatsoever, but I just don't want to see any errors or warnings in my System Event Log.
The only thing I notice is everytime I turn on my computer, Instead of showing the "Connected Icon (the globe)", it shows the "Limited or connectivity (the !)" for 2-5 secs then it eventually shows the "Connected Icon" and it works perfectly.
Troubleshooting done:
- updated the NIC drivers
- updated the firmware of Wrt54g wireless router
- Local IP is set manually
