Have just bought a iPAQ6340 and have put my Virgin SIM card into it. It is
working great as a phone, but despite putting in the settings given to me by
Virgin I cannot get it to connect to the internet by GPRS. I get an error
message saying 'the answering modem is disconnecting. To check your settings
.... etc.' Any ideas, please?

soft reset and try again ?

failing that, go back to virgin and try again. ipaqs are flaky at the
best of times but when the settings are finally sorted it will work.

Hit the wireless shotcut (button or softbutton) and hit the phone "settings"
button.
Wait for the device to detect the mobile network (should go quick) then hit the
"automatic detection..." button.
Hit "OK" twice to get back to your desktop.

You should now be able to connect using automatically detected settings (i.e.
provided over-the-air)
