Hi,

I have an ASUS A7N8X Deluxe rev 2.0 motherboard with an onboard silicon sata controller.
I am using the latest bios and sata device is configured as 1st booting device.
The Driver version that comes with the CD is Sii3112a.
When I try loading this driver in the vista installation (to get it to install onmy sata raptor) the system hangs.
I have another PCI sata controller that loads perfectly, the only problem is that it is not bootable.
I've looked all over the internet for a more updated driver but all I get is the new Sil3115 driver that finds my PCI sata connected drives but not the onboard connected drives.

Can anyone help me find a driver or maybe their is a different solution to install vista on my raptor?

Help appreciated!

Hi ,

I am also having a ASUS A7N8X Deluxe board and i successfully installed Vista.

First Copy the Silicon Raid Driver on to a USB Thumb Drive. Then Reboot the system.

During Vista Installation Locate and install driver n proceed.

In the BIOS Settings set the Boot Sequence to look for SCSI HDD.

It will boot from SATA HDD automatically.

tks.
